Coming up – Kellogg Interview

October 18, 2008

Kellogg interviews everyone, right? Then why have I been jumping with joy upon seeing the email which asks me to go ahead and get the interview completed? Kellogg is my top choice, and I’m definitely excited about this interview!

So all you veterans out there, its time to lend me a bit of your guidance. I need to contact my interviewer for scheduling the interview. Is an email the better way to reach out to the interviewer, or is a phone call the more direct and preferred way? I mean, what does the MBA interview etiquette suggest?

My interviewer is in another city 3 hours away by flight from me. But I don’t want to do this interview over the phone, and would like to go down to that city and meet him. Face 2 Face 🙂
So if he agrees to that, I can only do this interview after 31st. If he insists on taking it over the phone, which I don’t see why he should, then it’ll happen a lot sooner.

And thanks for your wishes. I’ll let you know how it goes!

Update on 20th Oct – Mailed, called, interview finalized. 3rd November.

Go ahead and send a mail. Thats common for interviews. But phone calls work faster and help break ice, i guess! Do make that trip and meet him face-to-face. That is the best way. Telephonic ones are not the best.

Gud news!! Ya, I know Kellog interviews everyone, but still an interview is an interview.. And getting called is a step closer to your dream.

I’d recommend going by the email route for contacting the interviewer..

    Gud luck!!

I would probably drop him an email ask him if I can to speak to him over phone. Then talk with him on a call and fix the date and then do the interview F2F… Covers all the bases 😉

All the best dude… Let us know how the experience goes 🙂
